Wim Hof Method App Redesign
Overview
The Wim Hof Method app guides users through breathing exercises and cold exposure techniques developed by Dutch athlete and motivational speaker Wim Hof. Despite its valuable content, the app faced significant usability challenges that affected user engagement and retention.
The Challenge
Users struggled to establish consistent cold shower habits due to the app's overwhelming interface and lack of personalization options. The complex user experience made it difficult for newcomers to begin and maintain their cold exposure practice.
The Solution
Working alongside designer Justin Wu, we reimagined the app's user experience to create a more approachable and personalized journey. Our comprehensive process began with foundational research through usability reviews and competitor analysis. We then mapped user needs and journeys, progressing from initial wireframes to high-fidelity designs. Throughout the project, we validated our work through iterative prototyping and usability testing.

Components
My design partner and I created reusable components for our most-used interface elements. This approach let us focus on solving core design challenges while speeding up our iteration process.
